They Walk Among Us is a gaming
supplement intended for use with the D20 Modern RPG system.
The game setting is the same as that being used for the Pages
of Darkness movie.
They Walk Among Us is set in
a slightly modified modern day Earth. In this Earth, beings
of great power (known as Immortals) have been living amongst
mankind for eons. Some of their exploits have been chronicled
in various cultural legends, while others have gone unnoticed.
In either case, their existence is largely ignored by the
world at large, and stories of their accomplishments are written
off as exaggeration or fiction. Player Characters in this
setting find themselves in some way tangled up in the machinations
of one or more of these Immortals, and often end up encountering
other supernatural individuals and objects as well.
The supplement will explain the setting
and the player character's roles in the setting, as well as
present guidelines for creating Supernatural creatures (including
Immortals) and Supernatural objects. There will be example
Supernatural Creatures and Objects and examples of Supernatural
feats that the player characters can acquire during play.
There will also be a sample adventure set in Las Vegas which
will tie into the plot of the Pages of Darkness Graphic Novel.
